What are SSDs?
SSD stands for Solid-State Drive. It is a much faster hard drive than a traditional SAS or SATA hard drive. The main distinction from a technical point of view is it has no moving parts. Why should I consider SSDs?
The faster the drive, the faster your data can be read off the server and then presented to your user. This has a number of benefits but the main one is speeding up your website as everything happens that bit quicker. It also means as your website grows, the website will be less likely slow down even with higher numbers of visitors.
