Transferring a domain away from Catalyst2

You can transfer a domain from us to another registrar via your billing account:

• Select Domains
• Click or tap on the wrench icon to the right of the domain name
• Select Registrar Lock from the Manage menu
• Click or tap on the Disable Registrar Lock button

For .uk domains you can then enter the new registrar’s IPS tag. Each registar has its own tag (our tag is CATALYST2). The company you are transferring your domain to will be able to confirm its IPS tag.

For other domain names you get an EPP code. To complete the transfer you need to give the EPP code to the new registrar, and they will then be able to manage the transfer.

It is worth noting that the domain registry (i.e. ICANN) will send you an email asking you to confirm you want to transfer the domain. This email is sent to the email address associated with the domain registration. You can check the email address via your billing account:

• Select Domains
• Click on the wrench icon to the right of your domain name.
• Select Contact Information from the Manage menu.
